In Fayetteville, on the square is Mercantile on Market, the windows catch your eye, beautifully decorated with items from the shop. On the day we visited a local artist was sitting outside painting. They love their community and giving back is very important to them.
Their merchandise is eye-catching with many unique items that you will not find anywhere else. From toys, jewelry, candles, lamps, games, puzzles, and too many other items to list here. Lance has identified items that are high quality with many being made in the USA, and some even locally produced. They decorated it so it's not fussy, instead, it's like a clean slate with the merchandise taking front and center. BTW don't think the art hanging above the shelves are paintings, no they are puzzles. What a beautiful assortment of puzzles available to choose from, with over 100 in-house. They even have some that are two-sided.
Lance spent 30 years as an Air Traffic Controller and needed something to do that wasn't as high stress. This shop is a family-owned business. The personal attention he provides to his customers is his best asset.
Go visit Lance at Mercantile on Market and you will find something for everyone on your shopping list. Take some time to talk to Lance, we feel we left with a new friend and you will too.
This shop sounds like a hidden gem, offering a wide variety of unique items, from locally-made goods to puzzles and toys, all beautifully displayed in a welcoming space. It’s great to hear how much personal attention the owner provides to each customer. If you or someone you know loves Lego, I’d recommend looking into lego lighting kits to enhance those creative builds and make them stand out even more.
